ABOUT MARK
This site brings together articles and podcast conversations shaped by lived experience, conscience, and a concern for how decisions made at a distance affect ordinary Australians.

For most of my life, my focus was on family, work, faith, and simply getting on with life. Like many Australians, I trusted that our institutions broadly functioned as they should. That trust was challenged during the COVID era, when public policies began to affect children, vulnerable people, livelihoods, and matters of conscience in ways that could no longer be ignored.

I am a Christian man, married since 1998, a father, a grandfather, and a foster carer. Responsibility, not ideology, shapes how I approach questions of faith, culture, and power.

My faith grounds this work, not in moral certainty, but in humility. I am a sinner saved only by the grace of my Saviour, Yeshua, and that conviction makes me deeply wary of power exercised without accountability or restraint.

Here, I seek to explore difficult issues in Australian public life calmly and honestly, with particular care for those most affected by decisions made in boardrooms, bureaucracies, and parliaments.

If that approach resonates with you, you’re very welcome to explore further.
